This modern, minimalistic picnic table is a marriage of oiled redwood and welded steel. Table is 72″ long. A pair of these tables were designed and constructed for The Orchard project in Phoenix.

DIG Mirrors
The DIG Mirror comes in three sizes, each made from a water main component called a ductile iron gland or follower ring, which I sourced at my local salvage yard. They are for sale at Revised in Prescott.
Wheel Mirror
This found object from the local salvage yard gets new life as a 24-inch mirror. It can stand freely on top of a dresser or console table, or be wall-hung. For sale now at Revised in Prescott.

SixTop Modular Table
I was challenged to build a table that could seat 12 people at once or break apart for seating pairs at six separate sub-tables. This plywood and steel 6-foot square table now resides in the upstairs room at The Barley Hound, Prescott’s gastropub.
John Hancock Barbershop
John Hancock Barbershop in Prescott had opened for business in a small existing barbershop in late 2014. Even though it has an obscure location, accessible by an alley, owner Grant Quezada had established a strong customer base and needed to expand for more room to work, doubling the size to accommodate four barbers.
Anastasis was able to rehab the adjacent ground-floor unit and open up the wall to allow for a dedicated waiting area, shampoo room, and barber room, as well as a point-of-sale counter and retail displays.
Schultz Kitchen: Spice Rack
This spice rack for the Schultz Kitchen was built last year, as you can see the process here, but only recently did all the many, many spices get transferred by the homeowner into a coordinating set of glass jars, which brings a visual cohesion to the whole thing (and justifies the sidelighting!) Here are some photos.
And, as the homeowner is a transplant from South Carolina, she got a talented signpainter to letter a “meat-and-three” menu on this existing pocket door which I skinned with a rustic piece of galvanized sheet metal.
Steel Collage Gate + Lighted Handrail
I designed and built these outdoor metal elements for a home in the tall pines of Prescott, Arizona. The six-foot high fence and gate are an assemblage of various steel artifacts I salvaged from a variety of sources.
The homeowner needed a rail along the irregular concrete steps leading up to the entry from the driveway. The handrail is a large #8 rebar, which is great for grip with its ridges, and is supported by paired angle posts.
Each post holds an original light fixture made from 22-ga sheet steel with low-voltage landscape bulbs. The rail posts and lights will rust in time (though shown here in brand-new condition.)
Schultz Kitchen I
There’s a lot to see in the Schultz kitchen, since from top to bottom I designed, fabricated, and installed pretty much every detail, with the exception of appliances of course, and concrete countertops and tilework done by my good friend Ben Baker at Covenant Tile and Stone. There are the Box Shelves which got their previous feature post. But there’s enough that I would like to spread out the work over a series of posts.
For the serious foodie, you need a serious kitchen. And this one doesn’t mess around. A big Dacor commercial-style range with a stainless steel hood is prominently featured, as well as a deep single-basin sink with a tall sprayer/spigot combo faucet. Tile from the counter height up provides the backdrop for a variety of open shelving, which provides ready access to dishes, canisters, and cookware. Base cabinet system is IKEA. Industrial boiler “bulkhead-style” steel frames accent the kitchen window and a big pass-through to a small bar into the dining room. Lighting is all original design by Anastasis. Flooring throughout the kitchen and upstairs level is Cali Bamboo – beautiful and super durable.
Stay tuned for more.
Steel Rolling Door
At the Schultz house, the bedroom door is replaced by a custom steel-clad rolling panel and hardware, to match the style of the fireplace surround in the living room. The outside handle is a variant of the Parallelism Handle.
