I designed and built these outdoor metal elements for a home in the tall pines of Prescott, Arizona. The six-foot high fence and gate are an assemblage of various steel artifacts I salvaged from a variety of sources.
The homeowner needed a rail along the irregular concrete steps leading up to the entry from the driveway. The handrail is a large #8 rebar, which is great for grip with its ridges, and is supported by paired angle posts.
Each post holds an original light fixture made from 22-ga sheet steel with low-voltage landscape bulbs. The rail posts and lights will rust in time (though shown here in brand-new condition.)
