Anastasis, based in Danville, Pennsylvania, creates custom interiors, outdoor elements, fixtures and furnishings, specializing in bringing new life to time-worn or discarded materials. Anastasis, meaning “resurrection,” is the hope that what was once lost to decay will once again be made new – redeemed and reimagined.
Andrew Horvath studied architecture and industrial design at Virginia Tech. He spent several years in traditional architecture firms in Southern California after graduation. However, life in front of a computer screen was not the place where his creative abilities could find an outlet. He now practices “applied architecture” by a multidisciplinary, hands-on approach to design in the field. After starting Anastasis in Prescott, Arizona and contributing to the community for about seven years, Andrew relocated his family and business back to Pennsylvania in the fall of 2018. As head of Anastasis, he is involved in the ideation, craft, and installation of built environments and functional objects.
